International Film Festival of Tarragona

After ten years in continuous evolution, we pass over the decade of existence with the two main international sections fully consolidated, that give us a benchmark as the slogan "from the works of the present, we talk about creating the future."
Through our competitions and parallel activities we take many years paying attention to new formats, new directors and new narratives. Setting the goal and the emphasis on the processes of research and experimentation nowadays and new practices that emerge through the Internet. Concepts which draw us a complex object and look for new and potential denominators while creating a contemporary definition of cinema.
REC International Film Festival of Tarragona, to keep tracing the dialogue with the contemporary cinema, opens its competitions: Opera Prima International (first feature film), Live Cinema International and National Short Film (4 sections). The festival also develops policies and actions to bring these works to the public.
To follow with our goals, the REC International Film Festival Tarragona celebrates its eleventh edition in April 29th to May 7th, 2011.
