On the 2nd October Prof. Ágnes Pethő held a guest lecture Affective Intermediality and the Politics of Impurity in Film as part of the Focus Module entitled Literature and Other Media in the Age of (Cultural) Sustainability.
The lecture was "an introduction about theorizing intermediality in cinema, and through cinema: a brief summary of the main avenues that have emerged in the approaches to (cinematic) intermediality. The focus of the talk was "affective intermediality" by presenting three concrete examples to show how this is relevant today, i.e. how it can address key issues regarding our contemporary relationship with images."
Event organizer: Prof. Dr. Gabriele Rippl; Dr. Sofie Behluli; Dr. Viola Marchi from the Bern University.
