Erasmus Blended Intensive Program: Working with Archive Material in Short Movies

The purpose of the tender is to support the participation of students in the mixed intensive program organized by Eszterháy Károly Catholic University (Eger), entitled Working With Archive Material in Short Movies.
The mode of participation: short mixed mobility, consisting of 5 (or optionally 6) days of physical mobility supplemented by a virtual component, completion of both components is mandatory, however, the scholarship is only awarded for the period of physical mobility.
Planned dates for the virtual component:
- April 17, 2023 (4-hour workshop, planned content: introduction, collection of materials, preparation of the workshop),
- May 30, 2023 (4-hour workshop, planned content: presenting projects, feedback),
- June 12, 2023 (4-hour workshop, planned content: post-production, finalization of materials).
Physical mobility period: May 15-19, 2023. (or optionally May 15-20, 2023, if the planned May 20 professional trip to Budapest takes place), travel days are not included in this.
Host institution and location of physical mobility: Eszterháy Károly Catholic University, Eger, Hungary.
Number of places that can be applied for: 5.
About the program:

- A five-days-course between May 15-19, 2023. The course is about editing and making short movies using archive material that the participants bring with themselves.
- The use of archive material (photo, polaroid, video, super8, 16mm, even sound recording) in making short movies of different kind is a challenge and an exciting process in itself, but beyond that, the process helps participants to get acquainted with the cultural, historical background of each other. We will also provide a selection of archive material, in case participants don’t find that at home. The course is aimed to produce and present short movies in 2-5 min. Genre can be animation, doc, diary, fiction, experimental.
- Recommended for students of media, graphic design, fine arts, history, music, animation, photography and filmmaking.
