Sapientia Success at the FFeST 2010

The 4th edition of the International Student Film Festival FFeST, organized by the Faculty of Sciences and Arts of the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania in collaboration with the Faculty of Theatre and Television of the Babeş-Bolyai University - Cluj-Napoca, took place between 26th and 28th of November 2010. The competition included films from every film school of the country, moreover, this year the festival got participants from abroad as well. More than 140 films were screened.

Sapientia student shorts have been enrolled to the short fiction and to the documentary competition.
This year's special achievement was the remake workshop, led by Orsolya Tóth, production manager at the Department of Film, Photography and Media of the Sapientia University; during which Sapientia and Babeş-Bolyai students elaborated remakes of Jenő Janovics's 1920 silent film Világrém.

The grand prize of the festival hasn't been awarded.
The prize for the best short fiction went to Ábel Visky for the film Éjszaka a földön, production earlier awarded at the Local Competition of the Transylvania International Film Festival. (Photos here.)
