Sapientia University hosted the international conference "Media Space"

The organisers of the conference Media Space. The Role of Hungarian-Language Studios outside Hungary in Forming the Strategy of Hungarian Public Media started from the fact that Hungarian ethnics and citizens live outside Hungary's borders as well, in the whole Carpathian bazin, thus Hungarian public media must pay attention to the inhabitants of several countries, most of whom are not ethnic Hungarians. During the presentations, roundtables and discussions such aspects were considered as the media usage of the average user belonging to the various Hungarian minority groups, furthermore the daily activities of Hungarian-language studios in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Romania, Ucraine and the Slovak Republic were also presented and discussed. Future strategies involving digital possibilities were also examined.
Our department was represented by Andrea Virginás assistant professor and Orsolya Tóth production manager, as moderators of some of the sessions.
