Endless Minutes, the short film of CecÃlia Felméri, is screened at Los Angeles

The world premiere of the film was at the 2011 Locarno Film Festival. In Los Angeles it is to compete with 35 other short films for the prestigious prizes.
The American Film Institute (AFI) organizes the 25th edition of its professionally renowned film festival, the AFI Fest, in Los Angeles. Between November 3 – 10 a total number of 110 films from 36 countries are being screened in mythical Hollywood film theatres. The guest invited curator of the festival is Pedro Almodóvar, while Antonio Banderas is among its invited celebrities.
The panorama of the American Film Institute offers each year the possibility to meet important developments of contemporary cinema art. In 2011 a number of 21 films were invited to the section of World Cinema, where the critically acclaimed The Turin Horse of Béla Tarr will be shown in the company of recent films by Akerman, Farhadi, Kaurismäki, Kim Ki-duk and Sokurov. Tarr’s last film is Hungary’s official nominee for the Best Foreign Film Oscar, and it is also in competition for the main prize of the European Film Academy.
Endless Minutes, directed by CecÃlia Felméri in a Hungarian-Romanian co-production, will have its American premiere at the prestigious 2011 AFI Fest. The film is based on the short story Az élet [Life] by János Szántai, its producers are András Muhi and Róbert Lakatos.
