Congratulations!

A grotesque short film of 7 minutes was awarded the main prize by the MTVA (Media Support and Asset Management Fund, Hungary). During the competition the 33 best creations were selected from a material of 1500 minutes in total, made by young creators in schools, high schools, colleges and universities. The survey was screened nearly for a week, and its main prize went to our former student, Attila Bán, and his Szufla/Breath.

“We were looking for humour, for creativity and the dramaturgy that shows how a film is being built. We thought this short fictional film was a fine satire. Precision, the quality of the image, its editing, and the whole world of the film suggest that we saw the result of a well-written script, in which there is not one word, just sound effects”, said member of the jury, producer Miklós Szita.

The main prize of the National Student Film Survey consists in the film being purchased by the MTVA and its subsequent screening on public channels.
