Welcome!

At the beginning of the XXth century Cluj-Napoca was an important centre for filmmaking in the region, some world famous filmmakers started their careers in the film studios existing here: Sándor Korda (Sir Alexander Korda) or Mihály Kertész (Michael Curtiz) made their first films in Cluj-Napoca. At the beginning of the XXIth century we hope that the Department of Film, Photography and Media at the Sapientia - Hungarian University of Transylvania has again the opportunity to offer possibilities of discovering and developing new talents among those young students who see new, exciting challenges in the world of film or television and find them worthy of undertaking.
